Launch – behind the scenes!

Planning for the launch is in full swing – the venue is booked, giant cake has been ordered, champagne is chilling and posters are springing up around town.

It is about the publicity that I really wanted to blog.

I live in a small community and have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm about my book and the willingness to help promote my event.

From posters in shop windows, to letterbox drops, car magnets detailing the event being driven around, community centres and libraries displaying it on notice boards and submitting details to council websites, school newsletters, announcements at other events, neighbours distributing handouts at their workplaces and the local paper featuring me and my book, people have been spreading the word.

One of the most touching moments has to be that a local business had planned another event for the same day but changed it because all the staff wanted to attend mine.  Thanks Jodie 🙂

I am so lucky and so very grateful to my wonderful community, not just in the town I live in, but neighbouring  ones too.

What more can I say but THANKYOU 🙂
