On Saturday, 12th Feb, a friend and I ran the Tan track around the Royal Botanical Gardens. This was our second attempt at being officially timed, and although this year I was 30 seconds slower, I like to think the run itself was easier – at least my legs weren’t wobbling when I reached the top of the hill!
The track is 3.87km long, a perfect length for a Saturday jog, leaving plenty of time for that well-earned bacon and egg breakfast afterwards!
The Tan is available to run at any time, but Saturday’s event was in aid of the Friedreich Ataxia Research Association. It was great to see so many people out enjoying Melbourne’s beautiful weather and scenery, either walking, jogging or full-out sprinting.

Have fun keeping fit!
